The essence, factors and quantitative characteristics of the competitiveness of the agro-food complex in the world and domestic food markets are revealed. The ways to improve the mechanisms of financial support for increasing the competitiveness of agriculture and the food industry, stimulation of export activity, development of organized market of agricultural raw materials and food products are proposed. The role of land reform in the formation of a competitive environment in the agrosphere is shown. The need for socio-economic development of rural areas as a component of the formation of the competitiveness of the agrosphere has been proven.
