On November 26-27, 2025, the international conference "Global Geoeconomic Shift: New Frontiers for Money and Finance" was held in mixed (online and offline) formats.
Co-organizers of the conference:
- University of Anáhuac Pueblo, Mexico (La Universidad Anáhuac Puebla, México)
- State Organization "Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine".
This is already the second international conference on geoeconomics held jointly by Mexican and Ukrainian scientists. The first such conference was held in the summer of 2023.
The conference participants were greeted by the director of the School of Business and Management of Anaguac Pueblo University, Dr. Karla Bayly-Castañeda, deputy director of the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Andriy Hrytsenko, and counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States of Mexico Valery Olefir.
The director of the Academy of Financial Management, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Tetyana Iefimenko, gave a keynote speech on the topic "Geofinancial Challenges in Ukraine and Globally: Security Dimension".
Ukrainian and Mexican researchers discussed issues of geofinancial challenges, political and financial aspects of geoeconomics, the relationship between geoeconomics and geopolitics in the modern world, China's growing geoeconomic influence, improving the projection of Ukraine's soft power, etc.
