The paper provides the value based principles and determinants in the formation of the economic behavior of Ukrainians. The author also presents the value components in the structure of everyday economic consciousness, and dominant value orientations in the labor sphere, including in comparison with labor value priorities among the population of other European countries. The paper offers a theoretical model of the connection between the individual's values, obtaining information and formation of his attitude towards it, and outlines the consequences of the population's participation in the lifelong learning process in the form of changes in the human value system.
