The research paper is devoted to the history of the formation of innovative networks, their essence and structure, and the concept of network structures in general. The innovative network is considered as an organizational basis for the dissemination of information, and support for the innovative activities of large industrial and corporate associations. Attention is focused on the importance of network cooperation for the organization of technology transfer. The authors define the economic effect of the development of network structures and the implementation of the network principle in the innovation sphere. The paper considers the innovation networks in Ukraine as an independent component of the national innovation infrastructure, analyzes their current state, and compares the experience of building innovation networks in Ukraine and EU countries. There is a theoretical and methodological justification for the emergence and functioning of network structures in the economic space. Presented a statement about the expediency of further development of the national innovation system on a network basis. The article points out the need for the development of a single innovation and information network and its integration into similar international institutions.
The paper is addressed to a researcher who deals with the issues of innovative activities, state policy in the innovative and scientific-technological sphere, and the peculiarities of innovative activities in Ukraine.
