National Report continues tradition of studies of the key social and economic problems of the country, initiated by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Importance of the problems, which are under consideration in the Report, are determined by the need of quick changes in the foundations of the economic development and in creation conditions for active utilization of the national S&T and innovation potential. The primary objective of the Report is to assess the state of innovation sphere in Ukraine, to identify the most pressing problems and barriers that hinder innovation, to reveal rationale of strategic directions of innovative development of the country and to prepare specific proposals aimed at promotion of innovation activities in terms of further integration of Ukraine into the world economic, scientific and technological space.

Targeted audience of the Report are representatives of political, scientific, administrative and business elite of Ukraine and all those, who are interested in scientific, technical and socio-economic development.
