Generalized theoretical foundations and contemporary views on competition as the driving force of economic development, technological breakthrough in the future, reflects the real state of competitiveness of Ukraine, analyzes the internal and external factors that form the withdrawal of the economy to the higher stage of socio-economic maturity, gradual formation of information. On the basis of national accounts and cross-sectoral balance of Ukraine, the macroeconomic section of competition is analyzed, as well as microeconomic estimates of competition in commodity markets are presented. The problems of regulation of natural monopolies, monopolistic profit, withdrawal from the budget of land and mining, overcoming shadow procedures for tax evasion are considered. The method of calculations of gross and net profit in the economy as a whole is developed. State policy measures that will increase the competitiveness of the national economy are proposed.
