The monograph is devoted to the historical and theoretical study of the genesis of entrepreneurship in the scientific works of Ukrainian economists of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. The author considers the essence and organizational forms of entrepreneurial activity, the role of the entrepreneur as a decisive subject of the economic system, and the influence of the state on the development of entrepreneurship as described by Ukrainian scientists of the post-reform period. Summarized the contribution of representatives of Ukrainian economic thought of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries in the creation of the conceptual foundations of the theory of entrepreneurship.
