The monograph examines theoretical and methodological aspects and features of regulation of agricultural sphere and the basic principles of the state strategy of the competitive market of agriculture of Ukraine. The author highlighted the patterns of contradictions of state and market mechanisms for the development of agrarian relations, ways of overcoming them, forms of interaction and complementarity, which take place in both transitional and stable economies. The institutional transformations of the agricultural sector for the period 1991-2005 from the standpoint of peasants' participation in the process of radical change of land ownership and property, the formation of organizational, legal, industrial and market infrastructure are considered.
Modern tools of competitive reproduction of the industry, taking into account the contradictory trends on the globalization of agro-food markets, related to it liberalization of foreign trade regimes, monitoring of internal support of domestic commodity producers, compliance with environmental standards and principles of reservoir development. Multilevel criteria for measuring the efficiency of regulation of agricultural sphere are given.
