The monograph provides a concept of the development of Ukraine's system of national savings, their financial sources and the mechanisms of their conversion into investments, and the stock of accumulation of gross domestic product as the basic precondition of economic growth. Theoretical analysis of savings as an economic category, their real condition and quantitative assessments were made first in Ukrainian economic science, being the investigation's statistical base fully based on Ukraine’s national accounts.

The authors elaborated the concept of income in national accounts; qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the rate and structure of national savings; sectoral structure of the formation and use of savings in Ukraine; the ways of optimization of fixed capital accumulation and reformation of depreciation policy; the methods to improve the methodology of savings calculation. The authors propose multi-variant forecasts of principal macro-economic indicators and proportions in Ukraine for 1999-2019.
