On May 22, 2025, the XVII International Workshop on "Problems, priorities and perspectives of sustainable development in the ХХІ century" was held online on the Google Meet platform, one of whose co-organizers was the State Organization "Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine".
The event was held at the Ivan Ohienko Kamianets-Podilskyi National University, which is the initiator of annual events on that topic.

Within the Workshop’s Organizing Committee, the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the NAS of Ukraine was represented by Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Economic History Viktoriya Nebrat and Doctor of Economics, Prof. Natalia Suprun.
The moderator of the event was Tetyana Bodnarchuk, a Research Associate at the Institute’s Department of Economic History, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of the Ivan Ohienko Kamianets-Podilskyi National University.
The goal of the scientific forum was to identify key problems, risks, and prospects for economic development in the context of armed aggression by the Russian Federation, in particular:
- analysis and generalization of historical experience in strategizing economic policy for post-war recovery
- justification of innovation priorities in the development of the Ukrainian economy in wartime
- development of scientific and practical recommendations for implementing digitalization opportunities, preserving human and labor potential, and ensuring economic sustainability
The event was attended by more than 60 scientists and educators, representatives of business, civil society and local government from Kyiv, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kamianets-Podilskyi, Chernivtsi and Lutsk.
