Main scientific and theoretical results
- Methodological approaches have been formulated for assessing the size and dynamics of Ukraine’s core and "broad" digital economy as integral components of the national economy; unlike existing approaches, which are fragmented in nature and assess only the contribution of the IT - sector, allow for a comprehensive consideration of cross-sectoral digital interconnections and the multiplier effects of digitalization, and determine the impact of digital technologies on productivity, employment, and value added in traditional sectors of the economy
- Regulatory approaches to governing the use of artificial intelligence in the engineering products market, with a focus on harmonization with EU legislation, which entails drafting a Law on Artificial Intelligence with a risk-based approach, adapting personal data protection legislation to the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation, integrating cybersecurity and equipment certification requirements in accordance with the EU Machinery Directive, as well as enshrining EU ethical standards
- Ukraine's foreign trade digital transformation initiatives, as well as the patterns and characteristics of the digital transformation of agricultural trade, particularly regarding the digitization of measures to streamline agricultural trade (an area in which Ukraine lags significantly behind developed countries): preferential certificates of origin for trade in goods within the framework of the FTA, and the electronic exchange of sanitary and phytosanitary certificates in Ukraine’s border trade with EU countries
- Conceptual approaches to the formulation of trade and industrial policies to support the digitalization of markets for metallurgical, machine-building, defense industry, and aircraft manufacturing, implemented through multi-level interaction at the international, state, sectoral, and business levels by combining regulatory, institutional, financial-investment, and educational-informational tools that ensure the creation of a comprehensive ecosystem for digital transformation
- Scientific approaches to structuring the e-commerce market by identifying within it a segment of digital platforms and digital content producers, the operation of which poses risks to e-commerce participants associated with rising transaction costs for registration procedures, platform services, software acquisition and updates, technical support, the use of artificial intelligence tools, hosting, and other expenses during developing public policy in the sphere of digitalization.
