The paper presents the main trends of socio-economic development in Ukrainian society in terms of public opinion, in particular, in relation to socio-economic assessments and expectations, social capital, material stratification and poverty, shadow incomes, socio-political challenges and the perception of certain government measures, and information security issues. The empirical basis is the data from the monitoring of public opinion, which is carried out on an ongoing basis by the Center "Social Monitoring" and the Ukrainian O. Yaremenko Institute of Social Research with the participation of the Department of Monitoring Research of Socio-Economic Transformations of the SO "Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" (scientific supervisor - Balakireva O.M.); individual results are based on monitoring data of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, and the Razumkov Center.
