The book reflects the main stages of the life, research, scientific-organizational and scientific-pedagogical activity of O.M. Onishchenko is an outstanding domestic economist-agrarian scientist, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Oleksiy Musiyovych Onyshchenko left behind a productive scientific school of Ukrainian agricultural and economic science. His students and followers continue to work on the development of scientific ideas and directions laid down by the scientist.

Scientific works, some of which are presented in the monograph, are only a small part of the scientist's versatile scientific output. The index of printed works demonstrates the wide range of interests of the prominent agrarian economist. The book also contains memories of O.M. Onishchenko of his students, friends, associates. The scientific edition is completed by a series of photographs, which record individual episodes of the academician's scientific life.
