On August 4, 2026, a joint meeting of NGO "Bankers' Club" and State Organization "Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" was held at the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of NASU, with the participation of the National Development Institution, dedicated to the role of national development institutions in providing credit and restoring the economy on "5-7-9 of the new generation: how the National Development Institution is shaping the business development financing system until 2030."
In the context of war and post-war recovery, the issue of lending is one of the key issues for the banking system and the economy as a whole. The activities of national development institutions, which help reduce the cost of credit resources and attract long-term financing, deserve special attention.
The President of the Ukrainian National Mortgage Association, Serhiy Volkov, presented the international experience of the functioning of promotional banks and development institutions in the report on “National Development Institutions: Experience for Ukraine”.
Chairman of the Board of the National Development Institution Andrii Hapon and Chairman of the Board of JSC "ASVIO BANK" Yevhen Shulika presented various aspects of banking activities regarding the State Program "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%."
The discussion involved representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the banking sector, scientific institutions, international organizations and professional associations, who raised the issues of specialization of development institutions, instruments for attracting private capital and prioritization of state policy.
